Portsmouth take on Sunderland this weekend, in a eagerly-anticipated play-off semi-final first-leg at the Stadium of Light.

Both teams will be hoping to take a significant step in booking their place at Wembley later this month, and it's certainly going to be a fiercely-contested battle between the two sides.

We look at how we can expect Kenny Jackett's side to line-up for the game this weekend.

You can expect to see changes to Jackett's side for this one, as he rested some key players in their final game of the League One season in a draw with Accrington Stanley last weekend.

Matt Clarke and Christian Burgess will be expected to retain their place in the starting XI though, as the pair have been key to their top six finish this season.

Nathan Thompson could come back into the side after being rested for their game at the weekend, and he's likely to replace Anton Walkes at right-back.

Ben Close is a certain starter for the game, with the midfielder being in good form, having netted his eighth league goal of the season in the draw with Accrington Stanley.

Jamal Lowe has been deemed fit enough to feature in this one and it's likely that he'll replace Viv Solomon-Otabor in the starting XI.

Lowe has been in impressive form this season and has 15 league goals to his name, and he'll be keen to add to that tally against Sunderland.

Gareth Evans is another player that is likely to keep his place in the side, and with ten goals already to his name, he'll be a real threat to the Sunderland defence.

Ronan Curtis and Brett Pitman are both almost certain to return to the starting XI, having been rested at the weekend, and with 11 goals each this season, they'll be a threat throughout the game against Jack Ross' side.
