Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United have looked very impressive so far this season, recording victories in the both the Sky Bet Championship and Carabao Cup.

Leeds have eased past Stoke City and Derby County to make a winning start to the Championship season, whilst a side containing eight changes edged past Bolton Wanderers in the cup last night.

Focus now turns to Rotherham United on Saturday, but Bielsa will still be keeping an eye on the transfer window, with the opportunity to bring players in on-loan extended until the end of the month.

It’s been a relatively quiet summer for Leeds, who have added just five new faces to the squad that finished 13th last year.

Bielsa will want to add to his squad over the course of the next two weeks, though, with still a few areas of Leeds’ squad looking short.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE possible loan developments that would excite supporters…

Grujic, 22, spent the second-half of last season on-loan with Cardiff City, who he helped to promotion.

The Liverpool midfielder stands at 6ft 3in and would bring a real presence to Leeds’ squad.

Leeds still look short in central midfield, but landing someone like Grujic would ease any concern.

Pennington was far from convincing last season on-loan at Elland Road, but seeing what Bielsa has done with other members of last season’s failing squad is impressive.

If the Argentinian can get Pennington anywhere near his potential, Leeds would be getting their hands on a good central defender.

Leeds are definitely short of a centre-back, and bringing Pennington back on board, with a better level of coaching, could be a shrewd move.

Amazingly, Adomah doesn’t look like he will be heavily involved this season at Villa Park, despite the winger chipping in with 15 goals across all competition for Aston Villa last season.

If Leeds can bring the 30-year-old in on-loan, with a view to making a deal permanent in January, Villa might be willing to talk to the Whites.

Bielsa would surely love another attacking option added to his hand.
