It is shaping up to be a critical couple of weeks for Derby County, whose spot in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs is not confirmed just yet.

The Rams took a major stride towards finishing in the top six on Easter Monday, picking up an invaluable 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers thanks to a late Harry Wilson brace.

But Frank Lampard's men know that they still have work to do if they are to finish in that elusive, final play-off spot, as they prepare to face promotion rivals Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.

Wilson's brace on Monday afternoon came just one week after Mason Mount's hat-trick against Bolton Wanderers, and regardless of the club's fate this season, Derby fans can surely count themselves lucky to have seen those type of players play for their team.

The Premier League youngsters have been simply incredible since joining on loan from Chelsea and Liverpool in the summer, and Lampard will know that his hopes of keeping them at the club beyond this campaign have been made almost impossible after the seasons they have had.

Here, we take a look at who has had the better season out of the pair...

In 37 appearances, Wilson has netted 14 goals and produced a further two assists for Derby from out wide. Mount, meanwhile, has netted eight times in 32 appearances, picking up three assists.

Mount, who is usually deployed in a three-man midfield, is a master at picking up the ball, carrying it forward, and bringing others into play, producing 1.9 key passes per game, and accruing a pass success rate of 76.5%.

Wilson's passing statistics are lower compared to his teammate's, having made an average of 1.4 key passes per game this season and accruing a pass success rate of 74.3%, but it is his ability to finish from anywhere on the pitch that make him the player he is.

The Liverpool loanee has a ferocious left foot, and has pulled off an average of 2.8 shots per game this season compared to Mount's 2.6.

Both players are quite clearly two of the most talented players in the division, and they will be hoping that they have done enough on loan this season, to force themselves into contention of a first-team spot at their respective clubs next term.
