Leeds United have recently been linked with a move for Hull City star Jarrod Bowen.

Marcelo Bielsa has taken over from Paul Heckingbottom as Leeds manager and is already considering his options with winger Bowen a recent target after his stunning breakthrough season at Hull.

But who would be a better option in attacking midfield for Leeds: Bowen or Samu Saiz?

Here, FLW looks at their respective seasons in numbers and decide which option would be better for the Whites.

Bowen weighed in with 14 goals, trumping Saiz's tally of five strikes, but the Spaniard picked up seven assists to Bowen's one.

Overall, the 21-year-old Hull winger contributed directly to 15 goals, while Saiz managed 12.

But Saiz's all-round game was better statistically than Bowen's as he contribued with more average shots per game, key passes per game and dribbles per game.

Where Bowen does beat Saiz, though, is tracking back and helping his defence with 1.5 tackles per match as opposed to the Leeds winger's 0.6 tackles each game.

You get the impression that versatile forward Saiz could rediscover his early season form under new manager Bielsa, who plays with an attack-minded 3-3-3-1 formation.

Able to operate as a number 10 or on either flank as an inverted winger, the 27-year-old suits Bielsa's style of play and can get firing on all cylinders again with a bit of confidence.

However, there is no reason why Leeds should have to pick one or the other.

With in-form Saiz on one wing and free scoring Bowen on the other, Leeds fans will be dreaming of a return to the Premier League next season.
