14 goals, 7 assists: The ready-made Maddison replacement that Norwich must target in the summer

Norwich City will already be resigned to the fact that key player James Maddison will be leaving Carrow Road in the summer.

The 21-year old has established himself as one of the best players in the Championship and there will be serious Premier League interest in the summer.

As we’ve seen with Alex Pritchard, the Canaries aren’t in a position to keep hold of their star men and the focus will be on getting the best fee possible and finding a replacement.

One man who could step in to do the job is Blackburn midfielder Bradley Dack, as our graphic shows.

The former Gillingham man has great movement and an ability to find space in the number ten position, like Maddison, and is technically superb.

However, the ex-Gillingham man is now backing up that talent with goals and assists, as you can see.

With 14 goals and 7 assists, he has shown he is one of the best players in the third tier and there’s no doubt he will be playing at a higher level next season even if Rovers don’t get promoted.

To average a goal every 186.4 minutes shows that he is becoming very consistent and is starting to fulfil the potential that many say in him a few years ago. And, a shot conversion rate of 24% is very respectable and proves he isn’t wasteful in the final third.

Norwich will have been planning for life without Maddison for a few months now and Dack has to be one man who is high up on their list of replacements.
