There is a massive clash in the Championship on Friday night as leaders Wolves travel to second-placed Cardiff for a fixture that will have a big bearing on the promotion and title race.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men know a victory in Wales will go a long way to securing the Championship trophy, whilst it will leave the Bluebirds nervously looking over their shoulder with Fulham looking to hunt them down.

Yet, a win for the hosts would take them to just three points behind the Black Country side with a game in hand, allowing them to have title ambitions.

The two sides have been in great form, particularly Cardiff who head into the game unbeaten in 13 and they have won their last seven league games on their own patch.

It also brings together the best home side against the side with the best away record in the league.

Given that, it's going to be tough to separate the pair with a lot of quality on show.

Even Wolves fans were surprised to see John Ruddy was named in the Championship team of the year. The former Norwich keeper has had an okay season but has made a lot of mistakes, despite keeping the most clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Etheridge has been solid throughout. The 28-year old stopper has been reliable for Neil Warnock's men and is arguably the best keeper in the division.

Santo has transformed Coady from a competitive midfielder to a sweeper who can play out from the back.

The Wolves skipper has been outstanding, positioning himself well and starts attacks from deep.

It was a tough call between Bamba and his teammate Sean Morrison who have both been superb but the 33-year old just gets the nod as he has played more games than his partner and therefore made a bigger impact.

The former Leeds man is dominant in the air and a great old-school defender.

The first pick out of all the defenders.

The on-loan Porto man is the complete centre-back. Capable on the ball, physically quick and strong and always in the right position.

The Irish international is integral to how Wolves play and a real threat going forward.

You only have to see how much Wolves missed him against Hull on Tuesday to understand how important he is to this team.

The best player in the team.

Neves is up for the Championship player of the year award and should probably win it.

His passing range is outrageous and he controls the tempo for Wolves in every game they play. Cardiff will have to be all over him on Friday night but many have tried that before and it hasn't worked.

Warnock will be hoping his influential midfielder is back for the Wolves clash after suffering with injury recently.

Ralls is a box-to-box player but also boasts real quality on the ball and regularly pops up with important goals. A key man for the Welsh side.

Joe Bennett is very unfortunate not to make this team as he is a fine left-back and loves to get forward, but Douglas' goals and assists sway it in his favour.

No player has registered more assists than the Wolves man (14) in the Championship and he has weighed in with four goals. A massive contribution.

The on-loan Atletico Madrid man hasn't been at his brilliant best for a few months now but he is still a quality player at this level.

Has pace, can beat a player and is calm in front of goal. A major reason in Wolves topping the league and has scored 14 goals from his attacking midfield position.

Fortunately for Wolves when Jota's remarkably high standards dropped, Cavaleiro took over.

The Portuguese winger has superb close control, pace and power but has added end product to his game this season.

With nine goals and 12 assists, no Cardiff or Wolves player has been directly involved in more goals which is why he is in ahead of Junior Hoilett who has also had a fantastic season.

The Danish striker hasn't been as clinical in front of goal as he would've hoped to be but he still does a lot for the team.

His pace, power and willingness to run the channels and pressure defenders are crucial to the way the Bluebirds play.
