Rotherham secured their first away win of the Championship season last night, with Semi Ajayi the unlikely hero after he scored twice.

The big defender, who can also play in defensive midfield, snatched all three points for the Millers to ensure they closed the gap on the sides above them.

Even though fellow relegation rivals Millwall won, meaning Paul Warne's men remain in the bottom three, it was still a crucial three points.

And, as our graphic shows, Ajayi was once again pivotal for the side and it wasn't just about his goals.

The 14 aerial duels won highlight how strong the 25-year-old is in the air and that has ensured he is a massive threat in the box when Rotherham are attacking too.

As well as that, he was strong in the tackle, although he clearly could've been better on the ball but the Yorkshire outfit aren't a side that look to play out from the back.

Instead, they stick to what they're good at and Ajayi is crucial to their direct style.

With no prolific striker in the ranks, Warne's men are going to need to get goals from all over the park if they are to survive another season in the second-tier.

That's exactly what Ajayi did with his brace last night - which actually made him Rotherham's top scorer in the league this season with six.

It's still going to take a massive effort from Warne's side if they are to survive but Ajayi's dominant display last night means they will take some confidence and momentum into a tough run of fixtures.
