West Bromwich Albion are currently fourth in the Championship, three points off the automatic promotion places and will need to add to their side in January if they are to progress.

Darren Moore’s side have faltered somewhat since their blistering start to the campaign, and he will know what he will need to improve his team.

Just like the club’s promotion rivals, West Brom will need to bring in new faces this month if they any hope of remaining in the hunt for a place back in England’s elite league.

Moore will know this, and he will be eager to recruit and get deals done before teams around the Baggies do too.

With that said here are FIVE players West Brom should submit enquiries for next week.

Bradley Dack

If Harvey Barnes indeed goes back to Leicester as many expect, then Moore will be on the lookout for a much-needed replacement.

That man should be Bradley Dack at Blackburn Rovers and has ten goals to his name and four assists.

The 25-year-old could well be the man that could fill the void if Moore puts in an enquiry for the talismanic attacker.

Nick Powell

With Wigan Athletic struggling in the league, Nick Powell could well be looking to get out of the DW Stadium.

Harvey Barnes’ future is still up for debate and should he go back to the King Power; then a place will open up in the West Brom side.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away in the past and now could be the time for him to finally leave the north-west and move to the Hawthorns if Moore puts in an enquiry next week.

David Meyler

Reading’s midfielder has only played five times in the league this season, totalling just 379 minutes, and he could be a player that might just interest Moore at West Brom.

The 29-year-old would add even more experience to the Baggies’ first team and also the know-how to get promotion out of the Championship.

Moore should inquire about a possible loan deal for the former Hull man.

James McCarthy

The Everton man has recently recovered from a double leg break and could be shipped out for a loan move to gain first-team experience.

Moore could do far worse than to inquire about the 28-year-old.

He would bring a level of ability and professionalism that could be a major factor in West Brom’s race for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Ronan Curtis

Portsmouth’s attacker has been in scintillating form for Kenny Jackett’s men this season as they sit top of the League One table.

The 22-year-old has 13 goals in 36 appearances in all this term and has made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland, too.

If Harvey Barnes were to leave the club and return to his parent side Leicester, then Curtis is young enough to be compared to the 21-year-old, and could well pick up where Barnes leaves off.

Moore should certainly inquire about the services of Curtis as he looked to improve his side further.
