Fulham are highly likely to get promoted even if they don't finish in the automatic promotion spots.

The Cottagers are currently on a 21-game unbeaten run which has seen them beat all the other top sides, although they have a tough match coming up against Millwall who are on a 17-game unbeaten run of their own.

Their aesthetically pleasing style of play has won many admirers with Slavisa Jokanovic being key in implementing that over the past few seasons. They were unlucky to lose to Reading in the play-off semi-finals last season after another strong run at the end of the season, but they will be aiming to use that experience this season.

The high technical standard of their play means that they need players with specific skillsets such as composure on the ball and the ability to do a range of passing successfully.

Here are three players they should be looking at...

Maupay would be the ideal striker to bring in due to how much he contributes to play in the final third for Brentford as well as being a clinical goal threat himself with 12 goals in the league.

Obviously it would be hard to buy off their local rivals, but it's likely that Maupay could be persuaded if Fulham do get promoted due to the ability to move up divisions.

Aleksandar Mitrovic's future is uncertain, but Maupay should be brought in regardless because he would offer something different to the Serbian. He is effective at linking play up and could work well with Ryan Sessegnon on the left through intricate play in and around the box.

£13.5m-rated Ward-Prowse is likely to be playing in the Championship next season with Southampton four points from safety with just four games remaining.

He is a Premier League level player due to his ability on the ball as well as the set piece threat he provides. Southampton's potential relegation means that there are likely to be plenty of clubs trying to take their players away with Ward-Prowse being one of them, so Fulham will have to fight off other clubs for his signature.

The 23-year-old would be worth it because he would fit in seamlessly to their style and could work well alongside Tom Cairney in midfield. His set piece threat would also give them another attacking weapon to use. This move is likely to be dependent on whether the Cottagers are promoted, though.

Hojbjerg is another player they could bring in from Southampton. The Danish midfielder could work well as a defensive midfielder in Fulham's style because he is capable at breaking up play and is accomplished at recycling possession while also possessing the necessary aerial strength to deal with direct play.

The transition from Southampton to Fulham shouldn't be too hard because they play in a similar way, although the Saints have major goalscoring issues which is in contrast to the Cottagers. In this system, he could thrive in a key role because he is better in the deeper role with an active involvement in build-up play and the progression up the pitch.
