Many are expecting Nottingham Forest to be one of the busier sides in the summer window as they aim for a play-off push at the very least in 2018/19.

The men from the City Ground have had a season of great change once again this year and it looks set to be a window that follows suit as Aitor Karanka aims to get his side in the mould he wants it to be in.

Certainly, he's not been afraid to make big changes already with his January action in mind and you can guarantee he'll be looking to make some of those loan deals permanent as well as bringing in other new faces.

With that in mind, then, let's take a look at the XI he could put together that might just yield the Reds a promotion place next season...

Costel Pantilimon is one of the loanees the club will want to remain.

Tendayi Darikwa is really starting to look strong.

Figueiredo is another class player who Forest will want to keep hold of.

Liam Moore could be a decent arrival as the other centre-half, with Joe Worrall challenging for a place and Danny Fox coming out of the side.

Jack Robinson is out of contract with QPR and could be a solid left-back option to turn to.

Ben Watson is nailed on to feature next year.

Forest will try to keep Colback in midfield too.

Matty Cash is going well under Karanka and could stay in the side.

Lee Tomlin is another January arrival the Reds will want to keep.

Joe Lolley could be a real star next season if all goes to plan.

Forest need another proven striker up top and 12-goal Martyn Waghorn could be ideal.
