Two of the Championship’s in-form sides faced off against each-other yesterday at Griffin Park as Brentford and Leeds shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Said Benrahma rolled into the net from close range after Kiko Casilla had let a Liam Cooper pass roll underneath his foot before Cooper equalised for the visitors down the other end as he stabbed in from close range at a corner.
One man who stood out in the clash was centre-back Ethan Pinnock who admitted after the game that the side hadn’t been good enough on the ball.
The defender played a major part in the draw as he helped protect the Bees goal and here are the stats behind his colossal performance…
His performances have become more consistent this season as he has become more confident when in one-on-one situations and he timed his tackles to perfection last night as he prevented Leeds from getting even further up the pitch.
The 26-year-old read the game well across the night and he made two interceptions to relieve the pressure on David Raya’s goal.

Leeds were using the wings well and were able to get crosses into the box but they found defender Pinnock in their way on more than one occasion.
The defender’s positioning from crosses was second to none and he managed to make 12 clearances across the night. He was able to get distance on the clearances that he did make which allowed Brentford to get up the pitch and out of the box when under pressure.
While his defensive performance may have earned him plaudits from supporters following the game, what he did on the ball also can’t have gone unnoticed.
The defender made 12 passes as he kept things simple when trying to find a team-mate out from the back.
He also made two dribbles out of defence as he was calm on the ball without rushing things and ensured that Brentford retained the ball while he was in possession.
