Nottingham Forest are certainly no strangers to signing players from all over the continent.

The Reds signed 14 players over the course of a hectic summer transfer window, with players arriving from Greece, Cyprus and Sweden to name only a few countries.

Naturally, Forest have had to bid farewell to some players over the course of this season to balance the books. Even Nicholas Ioannou and Miguel Guerrero, who both joined the club in the summer, were sent on their way in January.

Chris Hughton will be keen to reshape his squad even further this season, after he hopes to guide Forest away from danger and steer them towards a strong end to the campaign.

Can you remember any of these 11 players who once played for Forest, though? We reckon you've probably forgotten some of them...

Gomis arrived at Forest on loan from Nice in January 2014 as Billy Davies' side looked to have a strong second half to the season.

The centre-half made his one and only appearance for the Reds in a 1-0 away defeat at Barnsley, receiving a yellow card and failing to impress.

As mentioned, that was to be Gomis' only involvement in a Forest shirt, with Gary Brazil overlooking him on multiple occasions after taking temporary charge for the remainder of the campaign.

He was last seen playing in the French sixth tier, and will hardly look back at his spell on Trentside with much fondness.

James Henry is currently one of the best wide players in League One, having another solid season for Oxford United under Karl Robinson.

He started his career at Reading, though, and his first loan move away from the Madejski Stadium came in 2007 when he signed for the Reds.

Henry failed to make an impact at the City Ground, though, making only one appearance which came as a late substitute.

He returned to Berkshire after only a few weeks on Trentside, and would later have spells with the likes of Bournemouth, Norwich and Millwall.

Forest fans will probably remember Bamford being on the club's books as a youngster, but not many will remember him actually making an appearance for the Reds.

Bamford made two first-team appearances for Forest, coming on to make substitute cameos against Cardiff City and Ipswich Town. He was also an unused sub in a League Cup clash with Newcastle United.

Next season, he would go on to join Chelsea for around £1.5million, and is now one of the more dangerous strikers in the Premier League for Leeds United.

Bamford was born in Nottingham, though, and even opened up about a potential return to the City Ground before choosing to join Leeds after leaving Middlesbrough.

Macheda is best known for his stoppage-time winner for Manchester United against Aston Villa - a goal which accompanied Martin Tyler's famous commentary on Sky Sports.

But in 2016, the Italian striker was to move to Forest on loan from Cardiff City after never really making an impact at Old Trafford in the end.

Macheda made three appearances for Forest but failed to score for the Reds, and ultimately returned to Cardiff before having his contract cancelled by current Forest assistant manager, Paul Trollope.

He's now playing in Greece for Panathinaikos after having a spell back in Italy with Novara.

Kapino joined Forest from Olympiacos after Evangelos Marinakis took over, arriving at the City Ground in February 2018.

He was to make four appearances in the Championship for Forest in the latter stages of the 2017/18 season, providing competition for Costel Pantilimon.

But the following summer, Kapino was sold to German side Werder Bremen after a brief stay on Trentside.

The Greek shot-stopper is still on Bremen's books, but is currently on loan at SV Sandhausen.

Forest have had a number of talented goalkeepers at the club over the years, but he was unable to become one of them.

Barrow had impressive spells in England with Swansea City and Reading, scoring 14 goals in 82 games for the latter during his time at the Madejski Stadium.

Barrow joined Forest on loan in March 2015, spending the last few months of the season on loan at the City Ground.

He was to make only four appearances for the Reds, registering one assist and failing to score during his brief stint on Trentside.

He's now plying his trade in South Korea for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and is also a regular for The Gambia national team.

Tshibola was meant to be the next big thing when he came through the ranks at Reading and eventually moved to Aston Villa following their relegation to the Championship.

But after failing to impress at Villa Park, Forest took him on loan in January 2017, spending the remainder of the 2016/17 season at the City Ground.

Tshibola failed to set the world alight, though, making only four appearances before returning to Villa and going on to have spells at MK Dons and Kilmarnock.

Permanent moves to Waasland-Beveren and Aves followed, and he's now back in Scotland playing for Kilmarnock for good.

A fall from grace for the 26-year-old.

Dejagah joined Forest at the halfway point of the 2017/18 season, as Aitor Karanka began to strengthen his squad and bolster it with fresh faces.

The winger, who arrived at the City Ground on a short-term deal until the end of the campaign, was to make only one appearance for the Reds, which came against his former club Fulham as a late substitute.

At the end of the season, amid problems with injury, Dejagah was released and now plays his football over in Iran for Tractor FC.

Another former Premier League player who simply flattered to deceive during a very brief spell in the East Midlands with Forest.

Coppinger recently became only the 21st player in football history ever to make 600 league appearances, setting up both goals in a 2-1 win for Doncaster at Plymouth Argyle.

Mr. Doncaster once had a spell away from the Keepmoat Stadium, though, joining Forest on loan in 2012 until January.

The midfielder failed to feature regularly under Sean O'Driscoll, however, and returned to Donny having played only six times for the Reds.

He's still a key player for Donny as they look to recover from Darren Moore's departure and escape League One via the play-offs.

Lica joined Forest under the tutelage of Philippe Montanier in the summer of 2016, arriving on a two-year deal after leaving Vitoria.

But the winger failed to show his true ability whilst at Forest, making only seven appearances before returning to Portugal and joining Estoril on loan in February.

He left the club at the end of the season after failing to score or create a single goal for the Reds, in what ended up being a disappointing campaign under Montanier before Mark Warburton came in.

He's now playing for SC Faranse back in his native.

Trotter is widely known by EFL fans for his time at Millwall, with the midfielder spending four years with the Lions as well as having a loan spell with them in 2014.

In 2015, he joined Forest on loan from Bolton to reunite with Dougie Freedman, and made nine appearances for the club in total.

After impressing, his loan was extended and he ended up staying until January before returning to Lancashire.

He's now playing in the National League for Bromley alongside former Millwall teammate Alan Dunne.

He also had a spell in America with Orange County SC after leaving AFC Wimbledon.
