Hearts are enjoying a wonderful season this term.

After suffering relegation from the Scottish Premiership last season there was a feeling that the Jam Tarts may be preparing for a difficult season, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Robbie Neilson's side are flying this season and that means that their players will certainly be fondly remembered around Tynecastle regardless of where their careers take them.

But do you remember anything about these former Hearts players?

Here are 11 former players who you may have forgotten featured for the club.

The forward made just seven appearances for Hearts before leaving the club in 2014.

Now 27 years of age, McCallum is playing in the National League with Essex-based side Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 23-year-old made one appearance for Hearts before moving away in January 2016.

Since then he's played for the likes of St Mirren and Raith Rovers before joining current club Annan Athletic where he plays in the Scottish fourth tier.

The veteran striker enjoyed a wonderful career that saw him play for a number of clubs across England and Scotland including Bristol City, Aberdeen and Middlesbrough.

However you may have forgotten that the 37-year-old actually spent time on loan with Hearts in January 2005.

The forward came through the youth ranks with Hearts and went on to make two appearances for the club before moving on in 2010.

Since then Wallace has played for a number of clubs in Scotland with the 30-year-old currently playing for East Fife in the Scottish third tier.

It was only a year ago when the defender turned out for Hearts, but you could be forgiven for forgetting all about his time at the club.

Sibbick made just two appearances for the club during his short-lived loan spell before returning to Barnsley where he is at present.

The Swedish goalkeeper spent almost two years with Hearts between 2016 and 2018 but struggled to make impact.

Now 30 years of age, Noring made just three appearances for the club and now plays for Falkenbergs FF in the Swedish second tier.

The full-back is a talented player who came through the youth ranks with Manchester before going on to play for Plymouth Argyle in the EFL.

However during his time with City he made three appearances for Hearts during a loan spell in 2017-18.

After coming through the youth ranks with Reading the midfielder spent a season with Hearts where he made just five appearances before leaving in 2019.

The Australian left Tynecastle in favour of a move to Burton Albion where the 27-year-old is currently plying his trade under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The attacking midfielder spent a chunk of his career with Dundee United before leaving for a new challenge in England with Peterborough United and Coventry City.

Hearts offered him a route back to Scotland but after making just nine appearances for the club Swanson moved on to St Johnstone where he enjoyed two spells before joining current club East Fife.

The midfielder came through the ranks with Leeds United before making 11 appearances for Hearts during a loan spell in 2019.

Since then Shaughnessy has left Elland Road and is carving out a career in the EFL with Rochdale.

The defender looks set for a promising career after coming through the ranks with Premier League side Burnley.

As one of many loan spells he made 14 appearances for Hearts in the 2018-19 season which served him well as he battles for a place in Sean Dyche's side.
