Crystal Palace will expect to be playing Premier League football next season, although it's unclear who will be in charge of the Eagles.

Boss Roy Hodgson's contract is up in the summer, along with a host of senior players at Selhurst Park, so it could be the ideal moment for sweeping players at the club.

That's what some fans want, as they seek a more attractive and ambitious style of play, although it remains to be seen what decisions will be made.

Either way, it's sure to be a busy summer, and new players will arrive. And, they will hope to make more of an impact than these 11 players who you may not remember played for Crystal Palace...

The Scottish forward joined the Eagles in 2012 on loan from Blackburn, but he only played in one game after struggling to settle in London.

He would return to Rovers quickly and more moves would follow, with Goodwillie now with Clyde in Scotland.

Some may remember Jonathan Benteke, as he joined along with brother Christian. Whilst the striker has been a regular for Palace over the years, the younger brother featured just once.

The fact he has gone on to play for Oldham and is now in the Belgian lower leagues suggests he was never good enough for a Premier League side.

Back in March 2008 Palace were a Championship side and they signed winger Reid on loan from West Ham.

It was a move that didn't really go to plan, as he made just two appearances for the club and went to enjoy a career that saw him predominantly feature in the Football League.

Another who joined on loan, Egan was loaned to Selhurst Park from Sunderland in 2012 but he made just two appearances for the club.

Few would've predicted the defender would go on to become an Irish international and a top-flight player with Sheffield United.

The striker was signed from non-league Margate after a successful trial, but he would make just two appearances for Palace, one of which was at Old Trafford.

In truth, Ladapo just wasn't good enough to get in the XI at the time. However, he has done well since dropping down the leagues and now plays with Rotherham in the Championship.

The left-back signed on loan from Manchester City when Palace were in the Championship and he arrived with a decent reputation.

Yet, McGivern made just five appearances, and the 31-year-old is now playing in Northern Ireland with Linfield.

The keeper had enjoyed regular playing time with Southampton until recently, and that would've been welcome to McCarthy who has had to be patient in his career.

One frustrating spell saw him make just seven appearances for Palace in a year from 2015.

The winger has enjoyed a successful career that has seen him feature for Manchester City and star for Celtic.

However, some may forget that Sinclair joined Chelsea from Bristol Rovers as a youngster, with many loan spells following. One of those was at Palace, where he scored two goals in eight games.

The French international is a legend at Marseille, where he has made over 500 appearances since joining in 2008.

However, he did have a year away from the club in that period, in 2016, where Mandanda had a forgettable year with Palace, that included him making just ten appearances. For whatever reason, this move just didn't work.

Some Palace fans may remember Fonte's spell at the club as his final appearance resulted in them receiving a one-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player.

The forward joined on loan from Arsenal in 2009, with brother Jose playing a part in bringing him to the club. It was a ten-game spell that brought no goals though, which is why others may have forgotten he pulled on the red and blue.

A more recent addition, Camarasa is known to Premier League fans after an impressive year with Cardiff.

But, he joined Palace a year later, making just two appearances in an underwhelming year that didn't go to plan for both parties.
