Adam Reach has been a key player for Sheffield Wednesday this season.

The Owls have had a disappointing season because they finished in 15th place after an injury crisis which denied them the chance of finishing in the play-offs for a third consecutive season.

They were even under threat of slipping into a relegation dogfight at one point, but key players returned and they finished the season strongly with a four game unbeaten run as well as six wins in the last nine games.

Reach has played a number of roles for Wednesday this season due to the injury issues afflicting the squad this season with central midfield being one of them even though he is naturally a left-back. However, he has adapted to them roles smoothly which shows his intelligence as well as his varied skillset.

Having a more advance role has allowed him to play a large part in Wednesday's attacking play with a clear effect because he has scored four goals as well as assisting 11 in the league. However, the fact that he has created 71 chances is even more impressive. He didn't miss a game either which is impressive physically due to the demands of the league, and helped Wednesday significantly because of how much he could be relied upon.

Reach averaged 1.8 shots per game, so he had a large direct involvement in Wednesday's attacking, but he was also capable of retaining possession with 80.2% pass success. His range of abilities mean he is suited to a number of roles and can be moulded into being a specialist in one of them, which makes him a great squad player to have.

The main option for Everton's left-back/wing-back is an ageing Leighton Baines, so Reach would be a good addition for that area.
