Cardiff City are planning for life in the Premier League after a remarkable season saw them claim second spot in the Championship.

Manager Neil Warnock and the players deserve huge credit for the way they've gone about their work this season but they will understand just how big an ask survival is in the top-flight.

The Bluebirds boss isn't going to have the biggest budget and will have to focus on bringing in quality over quantity.

Fortunately for Cardiff though, Warnock has shown since joining the club that he is perfectly capable of making the most out of the players he has got.

However, new faces will be needed and here we look at four players they should look to sign ASAP to help improve the team...

Cardiff have been linked with a shock move for the Swansea keeper and whilst fans may not want to sign a player from their fierce rivals there's no doubt he would be a massive signing.

The Polish keeper has been one of few positives for the Swans this season and is a very capable top-flight stopper.

There's sure to be a lot of interest in Dawson but he would be another major signing for Cardiff.

He is exactly the sort of no-nonsense defender that Warnock wants and would be a commanding figure at the back for the Welsh side.

Besic enjoyed a successful second half of the season with Middlesbrough and is the sort of combative midfielder that would benefit Cardiff.

He suits their style of play and is sure to be available given how far he is down the pecking order at Everton.

The Bluebirds are a direct side and need a physical presence up top.

£11.7m-rated Rondon is that man, he has real pace and power and whilst he doesn't score enough goals, Warnock would back himself to get the best out of the striker.
