Leeds United are sure to be active in January, as they look to back Marcelo Bielsa with a few additions to aid their promotion push.

The Whites have been the standout side in the Championship so far and deservedly lead the way, boasting a six-point advantage over third place.

However, there are slight concerns about the squad depth at Elland Road.

Therefore, arrivals are expected in the New Year and one man they have been linked with is Hull City's Jarrod Bowen.

The 22-year-old has been superb in the past 18 months and has eight goals to his name already this season.

Given that, the Tigers will be reluctant to sell and it could take a lot to prise him to Elland Road.

So, how much should Leeds be prepared to pay for Bowen?

Our writers take a look...

George Harbey

There is no doubting the fact that Bowen is a brilliant player and has been in fantastic form for Hull this season, but Leeds shouldn’t pay over the odds for him.

Hull are likely to want Leeds to pay a hefty fee for Bowen, what with his importance to the team as well as Leeds being close rivals.

I’d pay around £7-8million for him, however, Bielsa has to consider that he already has good options in the final third.

Gary Hutchinson

That depends on how much Hull want. They can’t get involved in an auction, it’s counter productive.

£10m would be the top end for me.

Alfie Burns

Bowen would bring so much to Leeds, so I'd be tempted to part with significant cash if there's serious interest.

Long-term, what he could be worth in terms of promotion is huge.

If the interest is serious, £10m needs to be going down.
