Charlton Athletic’s Adam Matthews is out-of-contract in the summer.
The 28-year-old signed on a free last summer after his release from Sunderland. He’d made 23 League One appearances last season and has 21 for Charlton in the Championship this time round.

Charlton’s season started brightly, but they were soon dealt a heavy injury list and today find themselves facing an immediate return to League One.
Whilst injuries continue to beset Bowyer’s team, they’ve also got a host of players either finishing their loan spells at the club, or coming to the end out of their contract.
