Since leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer, Hillal Soudani has been in fine form for Greek Super League side Olympiacos.

The Algerian forward signed for the Reds from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, after scoring a total of 66 goals in 86 games for the Croatian outfit.

He hit the ground running at the City Ground, scoring two goals in his first three league games under Aitor Karanka - scoring the winner against Reading and a late equaliser at Wigan Athletic.

But his season was cut short after suffering a knee injury, in the 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Burton Albion in late October.

Then, surprisingly, Soudani was the first player to depart the City Ground in the summer, having failed to be given a chance to impress under Lamouchi.

The 31-year-old signed for Olympiacos, and he has been in impressive form in front of goal since his move to Greece, scoring five goals in nine appearances.

Forest are in need of a new striker to provide competition for Lewis Grabban and Rafa Mir, with the likes of Daryl Murphy, Jason Cummings and Apostolos Vellios leaving the club in the summer.
