Stoke City are heading towards mid-table obscurity under Nathan Jones this season, after a point against league leaders Norwich City left them in 16th spot on 53 points, with only two matches of their season remaining.

Jones is likely to have a complete overhaul of his squad in the summer as he looks to stamp his own mark on it, and this is likely to impact on the playing squad plus those out on loan.

For one full-back Erik Pieters, currently on-loan at Amiens, the future looks away from Stoke, with the French Ligue One side reportedly keen on offering Pieters a two-year deal, while L’Equipe are also claiming that two other sides from France and a “big club” from Holland are interested in signing the experienced left-back.

So should Stoke look to off-load the full-back?

We discuss........

Toby Wilding

"He's been a good servant for Stoke, but it may be time to go their separate ways.

"Stoke fans are expecting an overhaul following an uninspiring first season back in the Championship, and it doesn't really feel like the return of a 30-year-old left back from a loan spell in France is going to get the adrenaline going in that sense."

Gary Hutchinson

“100%, it's time to axe him.

“They need a root and branch assessment of their squad this summer.

“Lots need to go, not just the odd one or two.

“Pieters, Shawcross, Clucas, Allen... the list goes on and on.”

Louie Chandler

"I think so.

"Pieters is a great player but if they can get a good lump for him then it would be well worth selling.

"Although Jones says he will not carry out a mass overhaul in the summer he will still want to freshen things up so losing Pieters may not be the worst thing."
