Bradford City are gearing up for an exciting season.

After finishing in 15th position last term the hope for the Bamtams is that they can kick on and even push themselves into play-off contention this time around.

If they're to do that then they'll be hoping to avoid some of their most feared opponents.

Every club has a bogey team and even more bogey players, so who is on Bradford City's list of opponents that they dread?

We took to Transfermarkt to find Bradford's top 10 most hated opponents based on their track record against the club.

A player who has only recently left Bradford City.

Clayton Donaldson moved to Valley Parade back in 2019 but will move on to join York City this summer ahead of the new season.

However his move to Bradford came as a result of being a familiar foe for the Bantams over the years.

The striker played seven times against the club before joining the Yorkshire side and scored a rather impressive five goals in those appearances for various sides.

You can't blame Bradford for the logic, after all, if you can't beat them; join them - or at least get them to join you!

The experienced striker is certainly a proven goalscorer.

After starting his career with Norwich City, Henderson has played for Northampton Town, Luton Town, Colchester United and Rochdale before moving to Salford City last summer.

To see that he's been a thorn in Bradford's paw is an understatement.

The 36-year-old has played against the Bantams 13 times over the years and has gone on to score six goals and create two more during that time.

With one year left on his deal with Salford City there's every chance that Henderson could add to that tally with two more fixtures against the Bantams lined up.

A striker who is now retired but was a real handful during his playing days.

Delroy Facey's career included spells with Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Tranmere Rovers, Rotherham United and Notts County among others.

Now 41 years of age the player can look back on his career with pride, particularly those matches against Bradford City.

Facey played against the Bamtams on 18 occasions during his career and managed to find the net an impressive six times during those games, equating to a goal every three appearances.
