Millwall have done remarkably well on their return to the Sky Bet Championship, with Neil Harris’ side exceeding what many thought they would do in the second-tier.

Heading into the final eight fixtures of the season, Millwall sit 10th in the Championship table, still holding hope of pushing on to challenge for the top-six during the run-in.

Harris’ side are amongst the form clubs in the Championship heading out of this weekend’s international break, which will leave them confident of pushing on when league football returns.

Despite only four points separating Millwall and sixth, it will still take a mammoth effort for Harris’ side to break into the play-offs, and moving forward, the club can’t afford to sit still in the summer, they must reinvest in their squad.

We believe one player who could improve at the Den is Stefan Payne, who is the latest feature in our FLW Spotlight:

Payne’s impressive form for Shrewsbury Town this season has helped them to the top of the League One table, with the forward featuring on 33 occasions for Paul Hurst’s side.

Those 33 appearances have brought 10 goals and a further two assists for the 26-year-old, with Payne's shot conversion rate at 34%.

Payne’s return means he is scoring a goal every 148.9 minutes he plays, whilst the busy forward has also won 20 fouls over the course of the season.

Millwall fans… Is Payne a player you can see developing under Harris? Let us know your thoughts!
