Tomorrow sees Leeds United face Sheffield Wednesday in what should be an entertaining Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.

Neither club has much to play for ahead of the nine-match run-in, although the Owls will be looking for three points to ease any looming relegation fears.

Despite that, we should still be in for an entertaining contest, with a fierce rivalry set to be reignited in a near capacity Elland Road.

Here at FLW, we’ve taken a look at the two men who will be expected to lead the line for their respective sides – Pierre-Michel Lasogga for Leeds and Atdhe Nuhiu at Sheffield Wednesday.

Lasogga has made 25 appearances so far for Leeds this season, with the 26-year-old delivering 10 goals for the Whites and a further three assists.

The German’s numbers make a lot better reading than Nuhiu’s stats, with the 28-year-old managing just two goals from his 20 appearances, although he matches Lasogga’s three assists.

Lasogga’s superior goal threat is highlighted further, with the Leeds forward averaging 2.7 shots per game, compared to Nuhiu, who averages just 1.4.

However, other areas of Nuhiu’s game give him an edge over Lasogga.

The Sheffield Wednesday target man wins an average of 4.7 aerial duels per game to Lasogga’s 3.9, whilst also averaging more dribbles (0.6) than Lasogga (0.2).

In possession Nuhiu is more efficient, with a pass success rate of 67.3%, whilst Lasogga’s success rate is a disappointing 60.1%.
