West Brom are a team that are just a couple of quality additions away from being one of the favourites to win promotion back to the Premier League this season.

Darren Moore has a wide range of talent in his squad this year, and many would have predicted that the Baggies would have no problem in returning to the top flight at the first time of asking.

But one area that West Brom have struggled in this season is the lack of strength in depth in their squad, which at times has proved costly.

The Baggies boss is likely to make new signings to his squad this month and a winger is likely to be top of his wish list, as they recently lost Harvey Barnes, after the in-form winger was recalled from his loan spell with Leicester.

But who should West Brom be targeting a deal for this month to challenge for promotion?

Find out below….

James McCarthy

West Brom have already been linked with a move for the out-of-favour Everton midfielder.

Since returning from a long-term injury, McCarthy has found regular game time. Hard to come by in the Premier League, and is likely to head out on loan in the near future.

He would add some much-needed strength in depth in this West Brom squad, which will be needed as they challenge for promotion back to the top flight this season.

Christian Fuchs

The Leicester full-back has been kept out of the Foxes starting XI this season, due to the good form shown by England left-back , Ben Chilwell.

Fuchs was part of the Leicester squad that won the Premier League and would be the perfect man to come into this West Brom team to help them challenge for promotion back to the Premier League.

The Baggies need a strong option to challenge Kieran Gibbs for a starting spot in this West Brom side, and Fuchs would certainly fit that criteria.

Emile Smith Rowe

The Arsenal youngster is yet to make a league appearance for the Gunners this season, but has impressed on the European stage.

Smith Rowe has caught the eye in their Europa league campaign, and is sure to have many potential suitors for his signature.

This could be the perfect West Brom replacement for Harvey Barnes, as Smith Rowe is quick and direct, which is similar to what Barnes was for the Baggies.
