Stoke City are showing slight improvement under new boss Nathan Jones, as he looks to put his stamp on this Stoke squad that has been underperforming this season.

The Potters ran out 2-1 winners against Leeds United at the weekend, and Jones will be pleased by his side’s performance, having been poor throughout this year’s campaign.

But it’s likely that Jones is going to make new signings to his squad, so that they can strengthen ahead of a late play-off push.

This Stoke squad has the quality needed to get out of the Championship, but they need to start performing to the required standard on a more regular basis.

If they can do that, then they will be one of the most feared teams to come up against in the Championship for the remainder of the season.

But with only ten days remaining in the transfer window, Jones will have to act fast to make any new additions to his squad.

Who should he be targeting a deal for though?

Find out below….

Ethan Ampadu

Ampadu is yet to make a league appearance for Chelsea this season, and could certainly benefit from a loan move away from Stamford Bridge.

If he cares about his development in the early stages of career, he'll be eyeing a move elsewhere for the remainder of this year's campaign.

Stoke could be the ideal destination for Ampadu as he could be the perfect replacement for Ryan Shawcross who is struggling to find his best form this season.

Lucas Piazon

Piazon is another promising player that is on Chelsea's books this season, but isn't getting anywhere near enough game time.

The Brazilian spent last season on loan with Fulham, and played a starring role in their promotion winning season as they returned to the Premier League.

The winger could provide the creative spark that Stoke have been missing and he could be the missing piece in their jigsaw as they look to fire themselves up the table.

Jonjoe Kenny

The Everton right-back has only made five league starts this season, and could certainly benefit from a loan spell away from Goodison Park.

Kenny made 19 appearances in total last season for the Toffees, and he has the potential to be a Premier League regular in the future.

Cuco Martina has been poor recently for the Potters and Kenny could be an excellent replacement for the remainder of this season.
