Liam Moore has been one of Reading's leading lights in recent weeks, with the 26-year-old centre back having formed a solid partnership at the heart of the Royals back four with Michael Morrison of late.

Moore has been ever-present for the Berkshire based club this term, making a total of 24 Championship appearances for Mark Bowen's side in what has been a turbulent campaign so far.

His strong form in the backline has clearly not gone unnoticed by club's further afield, with a report in the Reading Chronicle once again talking up the links that have mooted Moore as being a potential target for fellow second division side West Bromwich Albion ahead of the January transfer window.

It would surely be a move that Reading would look to block, as Bowen no doubt views the defender as one of his key men in their quest to make moves towards the higher echelons of the league table.

Here, we take a look at ONE winner and ONE loser of Reading potentially sanctioning the departure of Moore...

Winner

Matt Miazga

One man who would surely see the positives of Moore leaving the Madejski Stadium is American centre back Matt Miazga, with the defender having been out of favour during recent weeks because of the form of Messrs Morrison and Moore.

A departure for Moore would, in theory, allow the former Chelsea man to re-establish himself as a regular starter under Bowen as we head into the new year, with Moore currently blocking his path.

Loser

Michael Morrison

On the flip side, Morrison would surely be negatively affected by his teammate's potential departure, with the two men having struck up a solid defensive partnership in recent weeks under Bowen, keeping four successive clean sheets in the process.

Losing Moore would mean that Morrison would have to quickly establish a partnership and understanding with Miazga, a player who the experienced 31-year-old has rarely played with this term.
