Swansea City have now made an official move for Bristol City attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer, according to the Bristol Post.

Palmer has been frozen out of the Robins first-team by Lee Johnson in recent weeks and the outlet are now reporting that he is open to a move away from Ashton Gate, especially if what he sees as singling out by his current manager continues in the coming weeks.

The 23-year-old only made his move to the West of England permanent in the summer, completing his move from Chelsea after spending the second half of the previous season on loan with the club.

During the 2018/19 campaign, he netted two goals in 15 appearances for the Robins and has gone on to net one more and three assists this time around, although he has not made the matchday squad for any of the last three games despite being fully fit.

But, if he were to make the move to South Wales, who would be the big winners and losers?

Borja Baston

As far as winners from this move are concerned they will almost certainly be in the Swans' frontline.

Whilst the likes of Andre Ayew will no doubt benefit greatly as well, it is the Spanish marksman who has the most to gain. He started the season brilliantly but has trailed off significantly in recent months.

It could be that he is waiting for that burst of inspiration from an exciting new arrival, and Palmer could well be the man to help rejuvinate his campaign.

QUIZ: Swansea through the decade: How much do you remember about the 2012/13 season?

Bersant Celina

This was all set to be a big season for the Kosovan but he just hasn't managed to get going as of yet.

He has provided just two goals and two assists in 24 matches this season and his place in Steve Cooper's starting XI is anything but secure.

Palmer's arrival could well be the kick he needs to get going again but it will most likely see him tumble further down the pecking order and give him even more work to do.
