The January transfer window is rapidly approaching and Millwall are one club who will likely be looking to strengthen as they aim to avoid another relegation scrap.

But it was departure concerns that were on the mind of Gary Rowett on Thursday as he expressed worries to the East Anglian Daily Times that goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski could be recalled by Ipswich in order to sell him on.

The 32-year-old has been an ever-present this season, starring in all of their Championship clashes so far this season,  and losing him would undoubtedly be a blow.

So, if Rowett's concerns become a reality for Millwall, here is ONE winner and ONE loser from the scenario...

Luke Steele

There is no question that the big winner of this scenario would be back-up goalkeeper Luke Steele.

The experienced shot-stopper has not had a look-in so far this season thanks to the relentless form of Bialkowski, with just two EFL Cup matches to his name at the moment.

Since a lengthy stint with Barnsley, Steele has struggled to settle with spells at Panathanikos, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest all underwhelming - so he would be delighted with the chance to prove his worth.

Hutchinson and Cooper

The relationship between centre-backs and their goalkeeper is one of the most important on the pitch, Hutchinson and Cooper would surely be the big losers from Rowett's concerns coming true.

Rebuilding that bond with Steele or whoever else they try to bring in during the January window could seriously interrupt the progress made in that defensive unit.

I would back them to do it, but it would surely interrupt their immediate form.
