This looks like being a crucial transfer window for Charlton Athletic and it was made all the more important this week when Chelsea recalled Conor Gallagher from his loan deal with the club.

The 19-year-old was an ever-present in the middle of the park, putting in a host of tenacious displays and also popped up with six goals in the opening half of the campaign.

And, according to the MailOnline, Charlton want to make Nottingham Forest's John Bostock the man who replaces him

The 28-year-old signed for Sabri Lamouchi's side on a season-long loan back in the summer but has made just three appearances in the second-tier, increasing the likely hood that he could be on the move again.

It will be a tough ask for whoever is brought in to replace Gallagher this month.

QUIZ: Can you name the last 12 Charlton players to wear the No.10 shirt?

But if Bostock is to arrive, who would be the big winners and losers at the club?

Macauley Bonne

The striker has been very impressive since making the step-up from non-league, netting eight goals in his first 19 appearances.

He has suffered a knock in recent weeks but with his return imminent, he will undoubtedly benefit from Gallagher's creativity in midfield being replaced by Bostock.

The midfielder's end product is usually reliable and, with Lyle Taylor's future still up in the air, it is likely that Bonne will be the one to benefit from it the most.

Albie Morgan

The young midfielder was recalled from his loan spell with Ebbsfleet earlier in the season and has been a regular in the matchday squad ever since.

He's notched two assists in his ten appearances for Lee Bowyer's side so far, but it is likely to be him who tumbles down the pecking order with the arrival of Bostock.

Having been recalled from his spell on loan, Morgan will undoubtedly be disappointed to see his first-team opportunities begin to slip away again.
