Bristol City and Cardiff City are set to battle it out for the signature of Slavia Prague marksman Petar Musa this month.
The report from Football Insider states that the 6ft 2in, 21-year-old has emerged on a host of English clubs' radars this month after scoring seven goals during a loan spell with Slovan Liberec.
Slavia Prague are said to be aware of the intrest form the two Championship sides and apparently have an option in place to cancel his current loan in order to send him elsewhere, if a more attractive deal became available.
With just two first-team forwards at their disposal, it is an area that Johnson understandably wants to strengthen.
So, who would be the big winners and losers from this move?
Can you name the last 12 Bristol City players to wear the No.10 shirt?
Niclas Eliasson
The Swedish winger has been excellent so far this season proving to be one of the league's most reliable chance creators.
And considering he has managed to do that with such little competition in attack makes it all the more impressive, so there is no doubt that he would be very happy to see the competition increase.
If the trio of forwards get the best out of eachother through serious competition, then Eliasson is going to have some goal hungry strikers to provide for which will do his own stats no harm.
Famara Diedhiou
The big marksman has done well this season but you get the feeling that he is constantly having to prove that he is capable of performing consistently; something he has not always been able to do.
So the arrival of Musa could well see him fall down the pecking order quickly if he is not able to add that consistency to his game.
It seems unlikely that Johnson would pair Musa and Diedhiou together, with Andreas Weimann's mobility proving to be an important characteristic in balancing out the attack. So it is Diedhiou is set to have the battle on his hands.
