Brentford are competing for promotion in the Championship this season, and are looking to bolster their attacking options.

One man who has been linked with the Bees is young Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun. The youngster managed to net 28 goals in 28 games for the youth sides last season and is a highly-rated prospect.

If the deal does get over the line, then Bees fans can be happy with the sort of commitment that the club is putting into earning promotion to the Premier League.

Here's ONE winner and ONE loser if Brentford manage to complete the deal for the 18-year-old...

Thomas Frank

Thomas Frank has demanded that he needs some players in attacking positions to fill in, especially if one of the front three gets injured. Ollie Watkins has been in fine form in the current campaign, but there will be a time when his form drops off, just like it does with every player.

Balogun is someone that can come in and provide more competition for the striker role and hopefully score some important goals in the crucial months of the campaign. Frank will see this as a big boost to their chances and hopefully it'll be enough firepower for the manager to get them over the line and into the promised land.

Emiliano Marcondes

The forward/winger could be on his way out of the club, especially if yet another player comes in to give competition to the front three. Marcondes has struggled for opportunities in the front-line, and despite looking good in cameos he doesn't appear to be in Frank's first XI thoughts.

With Balogun potentially coming in, this could be a signing that sees the end of another. He's featured just seven times this season and if Brentford want to be promotion challengers then they have to have better players on their bench than the Danish attacker.
