As one of the Championship's leading side's at the time of writing, Brentford will be hopeful that their star performers continue to hit the goal trail in order to fire them to promotion.

The attacking trio of Ollie Watkins, Said Benrahma and Bryan Mbeumo have taken a lot of the headlines this term for their goalscoring exploits, notching an impressive 34 goals between them in all competitions.

As one of the best attacks in the division, it seems highly unlikely that any other member of the Brentford attack could dislodge one of the trio from Thomas Frank's starting eleven.

However one man who may well do just that is 20-year-old striker Marcus Forss, who recently returned to Griffin Park after his loan spell with AFC Wimbledon was cut short due to injury.

After scoring 11 goals in 18 League One outings for the Dons, Forss will be keen to bounce back from his injury setback and show Brentford what they have been missing.

The striker recently posted an update on his fitness on Twitter, potentially suggesting that he could be back in action sooner than planned:

Here, we take a look at ONE winner and ONE loser at Brentford after the latest update on the fitness of Marcus Forss....

Winner

Ollie Watkins

One man who would surely benefit from the news regarding the fitness of Forss is ollie Watkins, who up to now has had little in the way of back up for himself up top, due to an injury sustained by Nikos Karelis.

In addition to recalling Forss, the Bees have also completed the signing of Halil Dervisoglu from Sparta Rotterdam, thus giving Frank more opportunities to potentially rest his star player in the coming weeks and months.

Loser

Nikos Karelis

The obvious loser of this injury update is the aforementioned figure of Nikos Karelis, with the Greek frontman now likely to fall behind both Forss and Dervisoglu after picking up a bad injury earlier in the campaign.

Prior to sustaining his injury, the 27-year-old had failed to find the back of the net for the Bees, meaning that the odds are seemingly stacked against him after a slow start to life in west London.
