Nahki Wells has spoken out about the sacking of Steve McClaren as Queens Park Rangers manager.

The 28-year-old who is currently enjoying a season-long loan from Premier League Burnley offered his thanks to the former Hoops manager for bringing him to the club, and praised his managerial ability.

Wells had been a regular under the former England manager, scoring seven times and assisting on six occasions.

McClaren was sacked due to an abhorrent run of form recording just one win in 15 games, with seven consecutive defeats in that time.

Wells was one of the first signings the former boss made, on loan from Burnley for the season, with QPR cash strapped and unable to sign players for significant fees.

And after taking to Twitter, there was a reaction to his message that prompted a substantial response from the QPR fans.

Some in agreement with the message, others questioning the tweet after the club’s poor run of form.

With that said, here’s what some of the Hoops supporters said to Well’s post.
