Wolves currently sit top of the pile in the Championship, but recent results have allowed teams to make ground on them.

The 4-1 loss against local rivals Aston Villa means that Wolves are only three points ahead of Cardiff City. They still have a substantial gap of seven points separating them from Villa in third place, but only one win in their last five games is a worrying sign.

It's been a great season for the Midlands side so far, but a poor run of form at the end of the season would undo all their hard work. Fans have their eyes set on promotion so anything less than that would be a major disappointment.

Leo Bonatini was a major factor behind their early success as he worked well with the two wingers either side of him which rotated between Diogo Jota, Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa. However, the goals and creativity have started to dry up as of late. Bonatini is our latest FLW spotlight...

His statistics in the game against Villa reflect his and the team's struggles. One shot and one key pass is poor because he is doing little to contribute in a goalscoring or a creative sense. Although the key pass did turn into a good chance with Matt Doherty having a shot cleared off the line by John Terry.

A striker is also reliant on his team because without consistent service they can do little. However, Wolves had nine shots with four being on target, so they were producing chances independent of Bonatini even if they weren't necessarily scoring.

Wolves were poor defensively and this match could be just an anomaly because this is the first time they have conceded four goals all season.

However, Bonatini regain needs to regain his early season form because he hasn't scored since December and Benik Afobe could take his place in the starting lineup with his goal against Leeds being his first for Wolves.
