West Brom have taken former Norwich City defender Russell Martin on trial as Darren Moore looks to strenghten his squad.
The Scotland international had played over 300 games for the Canaries over a nine-year period, that was very successful for both him and the club on the whole.
Martin won three promotions with the side in that period and played a key part as they managed to stay in the top-flight for three successive seasons.
However, the 32-year old fell out of favour once Daniel Farke took over and was sent on loan to Rangers in January for the second part of last season.
A permanent move to the Glasgow giants didn’t materialise and Martin mutually agreed to cancel his contract with the club last week.
He will now hope to impress Moore in training to secure a deal with Albion and here we look at one positive and one negative for the Baggies…
