Sitting inside the Championship play-off positions during this international break, Millwall will be striving to keep hold of their place as the rest of the campaign progresses.

Enjoying a productive summer on the transfer front, it is likely to be a quieter summer for Gary Rowett and Co. at The Den.

Whilst we wait and see how the rest of the campaign plays out for the Lions, here, we take a look at a potential in and two possible outs at Millwall when January comes around...

In - Premier League loan X left-sided player

There are good levels of competition all across the pitch at Millwall at present, meaning there does not seem to be an immediate need to add in January.

However, to remain competitive near the top end of the division, Rowett may look to bolster his options to ensure that his squad is competitive.

Perhaps a left-sided player with a wand of a left foot could be looked into, with the Premier League loan market presenting itself as an exciting market for the Lions to shop in.

Out - Isaac Olaofe

Isaac Olaofe has been restricted to just two Championship appearances thus far this season and will be hoping to secure a loan move to bridge the gap from where he currently is, to regular Championship football.

With the levels of competition with Millwall's frontline rising in the summer, opportunities to impress in the first-team set up have been rather limited.

A League One loan move for the young attacker would be ideal when the January transfer window opens its doors.

Olaofe remains an exciting prospect at The Den but needs more regular game time elsewhere to better his chances of playing regularly at The Den in the not-so-distant future.

Out - Hayden Muller

20-year-old centre-back Hayden Muller is another who could benefit from a temporary move elsewhere when January comes around.

The defender will have been learning lots from an experienced backline at The Den, however, the next stage of his progression could be a loan move within the Football League.

Muller embarked on a not-so-productive loan spell with St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership last time out, meaning that the Lions will likely be assessing destinations where regular minutes can be achieved.

Should Muller enjoy a positive second half to the campaign, then he would return to The Den in the summer ready to challenge for a starting spot.
