Fulham will head into this weekend’s clash with Stoke City confident of breaking back into the Championship’s top-six by the end of play.
Their 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic before the international break saw them slip out of the coveted play-off spot, but with the intention to return to the Premier League at the first-time of asking, they will remain intent on fixing that.
But Stoke will not be pushed over by the Whites.
They have experienced a tough start to the season but before the break won their first-game of the season against Swansea City, so will come into this one full of confidence as well.
So, how will Parker look to set-up his troops for this one?
Here is what we think is likely…
It would be amazing if Parker were to make too many changes given how well they have played so far this season.
Despite a few shaky moments, Bettinelli is likely to remain between the sticks but there could be one change in front of him.
Bryan, Ream and Maswon will retain their spots in defence but do not be surprised to see Sessegnon drop out at right-back for the more defense minded Odoi.
It is a switch that Parker has employed before this season when playing away from home and considering the boost in confidence Stoke will be playing with, it arguably makes sense as well.
Who should start at right-back for Fulham on Saturday?
It is more than likely that Parker will go with his strongest midfield trio. Cairney, Arter and Johansen offer the best balance in the middle of the park, with Cairney able to dictate play with the greatest effect.
Whether or not to bring Bobby Decordova-Reid back into the front line may be on Parker’s mind as well, but ultimately I expect him to stick with the lethal trio that have done so well so far.
