Yanic Wildschut has impressed at Cardiff City so far this season.

The Dutch winger joined the Bluebirds on loan from Norwich City in the January transfer window.

He has only played five times for Cardiff with the remainder of his games being for Norwich. However, he already has one assist for Neil Warnock's men.

His direct dribbling threat suits Warnock's style because he is able to commit players, although his crossing need to be improved.

Cardiff currently have Junior Hoilett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as their main wingers with both of them playing key roles in Cardiff's season so far.

However, the Championship season is long and gruelling, so having someone to rotate in is key for Warnock.

Wildschut is the ideal player for that role because he can also make an impact as a substitute due to his style.

The major issue with Wildschut is his end product as can be seen in the graphic above.

A shot conversion percentage of 7% is low and he needs to start creating more chances from the openings that he opens in the opposition.

His passing statistics are less important due to Cardiff's style being direct with the priority being on progressing up the pitch quickly rather than ball retention.
