Marcelo Bielsa will be looking to guide Leeds United to back-to-back victories for the first time since December this weekend when the Whites welcome Reading to Elland Road.

Leeds have been in patchy form since the turn of the year, but a win against Bristol City last time out got them moving in the right direction and reopened a three-point gap to those in the chasing play-off pack.

This weekend it is a different type of test against Reading, who are emerging as a mid-table side, but one that’s more than capable of putting in an assured performance on the road; last time out they won 3-0 at Hillsborough, reminding the division of the class they have on their day.

So, there is no denying that Leeds need to be ‘at it’ to get the better of Mark Bowen’s side at Elland Road this weekend, but who will Bielsa field in his starting XI after confirming he has an unchanged squad to choose from?

We take a look…

In goal is where Leeds’ big problem lies at the moment, with Kiko Casilla going before the FA this week defending himself against allegations of racism that stretch back to the meeting with Charlton Athletic.

So far, we are yet to receive a verdict on Casilla, but it is unclear whether he has trained consistently through the week or whether his mindset is right.

For that reason there’s a good chance we might see Illan Meslier make his first Championship appearance of the season in goal, with not much changing ahead of him.

Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas have looked excellent as a defensive unit in the last two games, with Kalvin Phillips shielding them exceptionally at the base of midfield.

QUIZ: Can you name every Leeds United player’s shirt number?

The presence of Phillips allows Leeds’ midfield to flood forwards, with Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez far more comfortable with the 24-year-old holding the team’s shape in-behind them.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa should continue on the left and right, respectively, with Patrick Bamford the focal point of attack as Jean-Kevin Augustin builds up to full match fitness.
