Derby County will hope for a busy end to the January transfer window, with Phillip Cocu looking for two or three players to help his squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Whilst the excitement around Pride Park will understandably centre on new players, a few exits could be on the cards too.

And, one man who may secure an exit from the East Midlands is Florian Jozefzoon, with Football Insider claiming that Cocu has made it clear that the winger can move on this month.

If that does happen, it's fair to say that Jozefzoon would leave as a very underwhelming signing - as our graphic shows.

With the ex-PSV man only playing ten times this season, we took a look at his stats from his only full season with the Rams but the numbers were disappointing.

Having scored seven at Brentford the year before, Derby thought they were bringing in a player that could make a massive impact.

His spell at Griffin Park meant there no time should have been needed for him to adapt to a new league, country or culture. Instead, he should have been ready to go instantly.

However, it didn't go to plan, with Jozefzoon struggling to get into Frank Lampard's best XI.

His return of three goals and one assist just isn't good enough for a player with his natural ability and nothing has changed during the current campaign.

There have often been question marks about the commitment of the 28-year-old. Many members of the Derby squad have said that Jozefzoon is easily the most skilful player at the club and we have all seen he has the pace to beat his opposite number.

So, to have such underwhelming stats is concerning. And, it's not as if he was unfortunate, someone with his talent should have been making more than 33 progressive runs and they should be providing more than 12 shot assists in 28 games.

The big Xmas Derby County quiz – Can you get 18 out of 18?

When you take into account his age, it indicates that Jozefzoon might not change. If he was a young lad, you would want to persevere and hope that he can eventually find a consistency that could make him one of the best players in the league.

But, that's not going to happen now and Cocu doesn't have the time to be waiting for Jozefzoon as Derby look to push up the table.

January is a time to be ruthless and the Rams need quality additions - and selling the frustrating wide man should clear some space and provide extra funds to bring in a more reliable performer.
