Wolverhampton Wanderers have put together one of the most complete squads in the Sky Bet Championship this season, with there a real possibility that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can end the club’s long wait for a Premier League return in 2018.

The likes of Diogo Jota, Leo Bonatini and Ruben Neves, along with the management of Nuno, have transformed Wolves from mid-table strugglers to promotion contenders, with the Molineux outfit currently sat at the top of the Championship table.

Some of the squad Nuno inherited at Molineux have hardly been given an opportunity to feature this season, with Wolves’ success at luring some of Europe’s biggest talent to the Championship giving them an ultra competitive squad.

Here at FLW, we believe that there will be some movement both in and out of Molineux during the Janaury transfer window, with Nuno looking to add the finishing touches to his squad, whilst also clearing out players who are clearly out of favour.

With that in mind, we take a look at TWO players who could be heading out of Molineux in the New Year…

Ben Marshall

Marshall was brought to Molineux in January 2017, with the 26-year-old making 16 appearances under Paul Lambert following his arrival from Blackburn Rovers.

However, the midfielder is struggling for an opportunity under Nuno, with a number of the summer’s arrivals pushing Marshall down the pecking order.

A January move, either on-loan or permanent, must be on the cards for Marshall, after just three starts across all competitions.

Ryan Bennett

Bennett arrived at Molineux as a free agent over the summer transfer window, but the £1.8m-rated defender has struggled for opportunities, with Nuno preferring other combinations in defence.

The 27-year-old has started just one Championship fixture this season, with the likes of Willy Boly, Roderick Miranda, Danny Batth and Conor Coady all ahead of him.

Bennett’s decision to move to Molineux is looking a poor one, and he could be looking for another move in early 2018.
