Middlesbrough will be hoping to continue their play-off push with a fourth successive victory against Brentford at Griffin Park tomorrow.

Tony Pulis has seen his side really click in the past month, with Boro playing some good football and deservedly picking up positive results.

And, they will fancy their chances against a Brentford side that have lost three of their last four to all but end any hopes they had of making the top six.

Yet, it will still be a tough task against Dean Smith's side and the performance of two wingers could go a long way to deciding which way this game goes.

Former England international Stewart Downing has become a key player under Pulis and brings real balance and quality on the ball down the left flank.

At 33-years old he no longer has the pace to beat a full-back but is intelligent in his movement and technically good, evident with his pass success rate and assists this season.

If Downing is a solid, reliable player, then Brentford's Sergi Canos is the opposite, as he is very unpredictable.

The ex-Liverpool man has blistering speed and is always looking to beat players in the final third, as his dribbles and shots per game proves.

Clearly, the issue is his productivity with one goal and two assists nowhere near good enough for a player of his ability but that doesn't mean Boro can ignore the threat he poses.

It promises to be a tight game tomorrow and the influence of these wide men could go a long way to deciding the outcome.
