Wolverhampton Wanderers were knocked off the top of the Sky Bet Championship table for less than 24 hours over the weekend, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side putting in another strong display to beat Reading 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium.

Goals from Ivan Cavaleiro and Matt Doherty secured all three points for Wolves, who will now be looking to maintain their excellent form on Wednesday night, when Leeds United visit Molineux.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the starting XI we are expecting Nuno to field against Leeds on Wednesday, with very few changes from the XI that dispatched Reading over the weekend.

John Ruddy has been consistent in goal all season for Wolves and should continue behind a defensive unit of Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady and the impressive, Willy Boly.

Across the midfield of Nuno’s 3-4-3 system Doherty, Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves will continue, whilst the one change we are expecting to see will come on the left, with £1.35m-rated Barry Douglas returning to replace Ruben Vinagre.

In attack it is likely that we will see Diogo Jota, Leo Bonatini and Cavaleiro continue, despite Helder Costa pushing for a recall.
