Birmingham City have a lot to focus on in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Blues in deep relegation trouble ahead of the final eight fixtures of the season.

Garry Monk is three games into his spell as manager at St Andrew’s with the ex-Swansea City, Leeds United and Middlesbrough boss already seeming to have an impact in the relegation battle.

After two tricky opening fixtures, Monk picked up his first three points on Saturday afternoon, with his side producing a blistering display to sweep Hull City aside.

That 3-0 victory moved Birmingham to level on points with Barnsley, and with eight fixtures of the season remaining, should’ve given the Blues some confidence.

There is a good core of players at St Andrew’s, however, in recent years it hasn’t happened for the Blues, who on the whole have struggled.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE players Monk needs to be moving on in the summer…

Over the years, Davis’ style of play has aggravated the opposition and in-turn, he is well respected at St Andrew’s.

However, going forward, Monk should be letting the midfielder go, as he looks to bring freshness to Birmingham’s squad.

Davis has been a good servant, but the summer is the right time to move on.

£1.35m-rated Jutkiewicz has just one Championship goal to his name this season and has been very disappointing.

James Beattie is part of Monk’s coaching set-up, with the former England striker previously helping to transform Chris Wood into a 30-goal striker at Leeds.

However, it would be a mammoth task to do that with Jutkiewicz, his time at St Andrew’s is surely coming to an end.

Kuszczak is a high-profile player at Birmingham, when you consider what he has done previously in his career.

However, David Stockdale is firmly first choice at St Andrew’s and Kuszczak doesn’t look like challenging him for that berth.

Both goalkeepers are past 30, and Monk should be looking to move one of them on in the summer to bring in a younger option.

Kuszczak should be the one to be sacrificed.
