Derby County’s season ended in heartbreak on Monday as they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in the play-off final at Wembley on Monday.

It will have been a particularly tough afternoon for Harry Wilson, with the on-loan Liverpool man knowing that it was realistically the last time he pulled on a Rams shirt.

The young Wales international has been a man in-demand, with Newcastle and Southampton among the Premier League sides interested in doing a deal for the attacking midfielder.

Given his talent, reports state that Liverpool will demand £25m for the player, even though he has only made one appearance for the Merseyside outfit.

Even in today’s market, that’s a hefty fee and any buying club will need to be convinced that Wilson is the real deal.

However, as our graphic shows, the 22-year-old has a lot of talent and enjoyed an outstanding individual campaign for Frank Lampard’s side.

By scoring 16 goals from his advanced midfield position, Wilson established himself as the talisman for Derby and many of those were spectacular strikes too with his fantastic left foot.

His shots per game prove he isn’t scared to have a go from range but he also chooses the right option more often than not, with 1.3 key passes per game a good return too.

The obvious positive to any club splashing out £25m is that Wilson is producing these performances at a young age. He will still have his best years in front of him and you could argue he is the type of player that would thrive with more quality around him.

So, whilst Derby fans will be sad to see him go, they will appreciate the efforts of the loanee and will no doubt take a keen interest in his career ahead of an expected big summer move.
