£1.25m-rated midfielder in, Hoolahan axed: The Norwich City XI Farke needs to field against Bristol City on Saturday

After a slow start to life in English football, Daniel Farke appears to be finding his feet in the Sky Bet Championship, with Norwich City improving drastically since the turn of the month.

The Canaries are unbeaten in September, having picked up seven Championship points from three fixtures, as well as progressing through to the fourth-round of the Carabao Cup.

In the last week, Farke’s side have put in two impressive performances – beating Sheffield United 1-0 last Saturday, before knocking Brentford out of the cup on Tuesday following a commanding 3-1 victory.

Attention will now be turning to the coming weekend, when Norwich face Bristol City at Carrow Road.

Here at FLW, we have looked at a possible starting XI that Farke could select to take on Bristol, as he looks to find the right balance following a successful week.

We expect Angus Gunn to start in goal, behind a defence of Ivo Pinto, Timm Klose, Christoph Zimmermann and Marco Stiepermann – the same unit that has been used throughout September in the Championship, and is yet to concede a goal.

Ahead of them, Tom Trybull and Alexander Tettey have impressed in recent weeks and will surely continue, whilst Farke’s selection headache comes in attack.

Yanic Wildschut, who scored last weekend’s winner over Sheffield United, starts on the right of our side, with Josh Murphy on the left.

We have opted for £1.25m-rated Mario Vrancic in an attacking midfield role ahead of Wes Hoolahan, after a goalscoring brace against Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Cameron Jerome spearheads our attack, with Norwich likely to be without Nelson Oliveira once again.
