Sheffield United endured a pretty disastrous day on Saturday when they dropped vital points in the race for automatic promotion with a draw against Millwall.

Not only did they suffer last minute heartbreak as the Lions equalised in the last minute of stoppage time, but they also lost three key players.

Firstly, John Egan was rightly sent off for a deliberate handball so he will be suspended for the game against Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

And, they will also be without influential duo Chris Basham and top scorer Billy Sharp who were forced off through injury.

Losing Sharp will be a significant blow not only because of his goals but the leadership qualities the captain has which will be needed in such a high pressure game.

As well as that, Chris Wilder doesn't have great options behind his skipper, with our graphic proving just how much January recruit Scott Hogan has struggled.

The Irishman had a tough spell at Aston Villa but it was hoped a move to Bramall Lane could help him rediscover the form he'd displayed at Brentford, where he was one of the best strikers in the league.

However, one goal and one assist in 11 games emphatically proves that he hasn't been able to find that previous level.

Worryingly, his all-round game hasnt't been that impressive either as he struggles to lead the line well and bring others into play, or to link up in the final third with the wing-backs or midfield runners.

Therefore, it's no surprise to see Hogan has fallen to fourth in the pecking order for the Blades, behind Sharp, David McGoldrick and Gary Madine.

But, he is likely to get some game time tomorrow and needs to take that opportunity.

There is still time for the Blades to make up the three-point gap on Leeds and there's still time for Hogan to have a positive impact in Yorkshire but time is running out and he needs to step up tomorrow.
