The summer transfer window is a busy time for any club in any division, but for West Bromwich Albion, you feel there is perhaps even more to do than the vast majority of clubs they will be lining up to face in the Championship next season.

Having narrowly missed out on an immediate promotion back to the Premier League last season following their play-off semi final defeat to local rivals Aston Villa on penalties, The Baggies are yet to appoint a permanent manager at The Hawthorns following the sacking of Darren Moore way back in March.

When they do appoint a manager, there will be plenty for that incumbent to decide upon ahead of the new season, as The Baggies look to compete for promotion to the Premier League once more.

One issue that will have to be dealt is that of Jonathan Leko, with the forward having struggled for game time again last season.

Here, we put the spotlight on Leko to find out what he may, or may not, be able to offer to West Brom next season.

In fairness to Leko, just three appearances - all off the bench - and 55 minutes of game time mean that he hasn't really had much of a chance to make an impact, but these stats still don't make for impressive reading.

Despite his lack of game time, Leko had one of the lowest averages in the West Brom squad for shots taken, key passes and fouls won per game, something which may well raise questions about Leko as an attacking option for the Baggies.

There may also be a concern that, again in spite of that lack of game time, Leko's average for bad controls of the ball was, by contrast to some of those other stats, one of the highest in The Baggies' squad.

It is, however, worth noting that Leko's pass success rate and average dribbles per game - the latter of which was one of the higher averages in that category amongst The Baggies' squad - suggest that there is still potential for Leko to make an impact at The Hawthorns.

With two more years left on his contract at West Brom, there is still time for Leko to make his mark with The Baggies, although you feel that he will need some more development - potentially on loan elsewhere before he is really ready to flourish at The Hawthorns.
