Football League World's QPR fan pundit Louis Moir has urged the club against rekindling their interest in Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge in the January transfer window.

The Rs had a bid for the Irishman turned down in the summer, according to The Sun, with Judge only joining the Tractor Boys months earlier, and Moir is keen to see the deal left in the past.

"In my opinion we should not look to reignite our interest in Alan Judge, especially after Ipswich rejected three of the bids that we put in for him," the regular punter told Football League World.

"He turns 31 in November, so you don't want to be paying over the odds for a player that age.

"When Luke Freeman departed the club in the summer, I don't think many of our fans would have thought we would have been creating so many chances but with the likes of Ilias Chair and Ebere Eze both playing together and linking up superbly that has not been the case.

"Judge, who can operate in both the number 10 position and out wide would not fit into our current system with the players we have at our disposal."

Throughout his career, Judge has racked up just shy of 200 appearances in the second tier with the likes of Brentford, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich, scoring 25 goals and assisting 34 more.

However, with QPR making a fast start to the Championship season, it is likely that Mark Warburton's priorities may have changed somewhat.

The West Londoners currently sit in ninth place with 11 matches played as we head into the international break, with just one point separating them from the play-off places and just three from the top of the table.
