Werder Bremen are interested in bringing Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic to the club, reports the Mirror.

The Bundesliga side are struggling this season and face a relegation battle in 2017, and they are believed to be admirers of Jokanovic, who is out of contract at Fulham in the summer.

Talks have not yet begun at Craven Cottage over a new deal for the 48-year old, who took charge of the Cottagers in December 2015.

This has alerted the German outfit who have just four wins this season.

Since his appointment at Fulham, Jokanovic has impressed.

Within his first six months at the club he helped Fulham avoid relegation, before starting the current campaign well, despite losing Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack in the summer.

Jokanovic’s side enter 2017 with hope of reaching the play-offs, and they are currently 10th in the Sky Bet Championship and trail sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday by six points.

The Cottagers face Paul Heckingbottom's Barnsley at Craven Cottage on Saturday, in a match that the London club will no doubt be wanting to win to help their push for the play-off spots.
